In the morning, our driver-guide will meet you at the pre-arranged time and location to begin the journey. Hanau – the start of Germany’s Fairytale Route and hometown of the Brothers Grimm. Brothers Grimm Monument & New Town Hall: Statues of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm stand on the market square, an iconic city landmark. German Goldsmiths’ House Museum: Set in a 500-year-old Renaissance building; exhibits precious gold/jewelry art from medieval times to today. Philippruhe Castle: An 18th-century Baroque waterside palace on the Main River, with museums and elegant French/English-style gardens. Würzburg – the start of the Romantic Road, a historic Bavarian city. Würzburg Residence: A magnificent Baroque palace (UNESCO World Heritage) celebrated as a masterpiece of European Baroque architecture. Old Main Bridge: Classic viewpoints along the Main River, with scenes toward Marienberg Fortress. Marienburg Fortress: The city’s symbol since the 12th century; enjoy museums, gardens and panoramic views over Würzburg and nearby vineyards. Bamberg – a UNESCO World Heritage city nicknamed ‘Little Venice’. Little Venice: One of Bamberg’s most famous attractions. Along the Regnitz River, you’ll see rows of colorful houses creating a dreamy, Venice-like waterside view. You can choose to take an optional boat ride to experience the “Little Venice” charm up close—an unforgettable highlight of the trip. Old Town Hall: This distinctive town hall sits on an artificial island in the middle of the Regnitz River and is connected by two bridges, making it one of Bamberg’s most iconic landmarks. Bamberg Cathedral: Built in the 11th century, the cathedral blends Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. Inside are the tombs of Holy Roman Emperor Henry II and his wife, as well as Pope Clement II.

Day 2: Bamberg → Nuremberg → Rothenberg → Stuttgart (285 km)

Nuremberg – a city rich in history and culture, known as the ‘Toy City’. Craftsmen’s Courtyard: A medieval-style square with artisan shops—perfect for photos. St. Lawrence Church: A grand Gothic church along Königstraße, with an impressive twin-tower façade. Pegnitz River & Heilig-Geist-Spital: A classic spot for reflections of medieval architecture along the riverbank. Main Market Square: The city’s heart—see the ornate Beautiful Fountain (spin the golden ring for luck) and the Church of Our Lady with its noon clock show. Nuremberg Castle: One of Europe’s strongest medieval fortifications—excellent views over the old town’s red rooftops. Rothenburg ob der Tauber – often called a ‘Medieval Jewel’ and a must-visit on the Romantic Road. Plönlein: The iconic photo spot with a yellow half-timbered house, fountain and city gates—said to inspire Disney scenes. Market Square: Watch the famous clock and the story of the ‘Master Draught’ (a legendary giant drink that saved the city). Castle Garden: A scenic garden on higher ground with views over rooftops and the Tauber Valley. Stuttgart – a blend of modern and historic culture; an automotive powerhouse (Mercedes-Benz & Porsche HQ). Mercedes-Benz Museum (optional): Striking double-helix design; over 160 vehicles and 1,500+ exhibits across ~16,500 m², tracing automotive history since 1886.

Day 3: Stuttgart → Baden-Baden → Heidelberg (200 km)

Baden-Baden – an elegant spa town. Experience either the historic Friedrichsbad (mixed gender, no swimwear) or the modern Caracalla Spa (swimwear allowed). Friedrichsbad: Built in 1869 on Roman bath remains; follow a traditional 17-step Roman-Irish bathing ritual for deep relaxation. Caracalla Spa: A modern thermal complex with indoor/outdoor pools and multiple saunas — named after Roman Emperor Caracalla. Baden-Baden Casino: One of Germany’s oldest casinos, famed for its opulent French royal-style interior. Heidelberg – Germany’s oldest university city, known for romantic scenery and rich cultural heritage. Heidelberg Castle: Built in the 13th century; explore viewpoints, the famous giant wine barrel, the German Pharmacy Museum and the Elisabeth Gate. Old Town: Enjoy a leisurely stroll among charming shops and cafés.

Day 4: Heidelberg → Rudesheim am Rhein → Frankfurt (190 km)

Rüdesheim am Rhein – gateway to the UNESCO Upper Middle Rhine Valley, famed for vineyards and river scenery. Drosselgasse: The town’s most famous lane, lined with half-timbered houses, restaurants and wine bars. Cable car & vineyards (optional): Ride up for sweeping views over terraced vineyards and the Rhine Valley. Rhine River cruise (optional): Board in Rüdesheim for a classic ‘most beautiful stretch’ cruise, passing medieval castles such as Cat Castle and Mouse Castle. Arrive Frankfurt in the early evening.
